Micheal Dennis Savage
Micheal Dennis Savage died on October 9th, 2009. He was 18. Mike died from a low-voltage electrical shock at Williamson free school. He was studing to be an electrician.
Mike was the type of guy who smiled at anybody and everybody. He was good with names and even if you didn't talk he'd say hi to you when passing. He was the star athlete with good grades. The guy everyone wants to know. He didn't have much trouble at home and he was an all around good guy. Why he was taken from us, no one knows. When Mike found out he was accepted into Williamson he was estatic.
I first met Mike while filming a baby bumblebee video (I was about 6 at the time) for a friend of the family. I was nervous and not really sure of anything. I didn't know anyone and was scared. Mike came up to me, introduced himself and gave me pointers. One of his lines was "I have a white chair in my room." i don't think I've ever seen someone say something so serious. I burst into laughter and we spent the rest our time talking and being silly, just like little kids are. As I was leaving my mom looked over at us and said "Oh so you met your cousin?" I don't think my smile will ever be as big as it was at that moment.
When I found out about Mikes death, about 9 years after we met, I was shocked. I was sitting on the counter talking with my cousin about what we should spent our friday night doing. She answered the phone and walked over to her father saying it was really important. He cursed a couple times and hung up. When we asked what it was about he said "you don't want to know" after some pestering he looked at us and said "Little Mikey's dead."
I didn't think I'd ever hear those words. Ever. I was shocked, heartbroken, sad, depressed and just about in the worst state I've ever been in.
So Mike, This one's for you. You were an amazing man with many friends who was very loved. I won't ever forget you. You're one of the people I will always look up to you. Always.
Oh and Mike, I have a white chair in my room. It's there if you ever get tired and need to rest.
