Default Dealing with Anger

Author's note: Hey there everyone, this is my first article and I plan to be posting advice articles quite often. So enjoy! Also, if you like the advice I give and would like me to post about certain things, feel free to PM me Thank you.

Dealing with Anger

You're just furious and want to pinch someone's head off or scream. Well, sometimes that helps you a little on the inside, but it doesn't help anyone else around you. Throwing a temper tantrum will just get you all the wrong attention. Lets try something different this time. How about a more silent approach?

Grab a Notebook

Some people enjoy writing about their feelings and thoughts. Why not start a 'rant journal'? Anytime you feel the need to blow out some steam, one way to do it quietly is just to simply write. By doing this, you're not hurting anyone, and your most definitely giving your vocal cords a rest as well.

Got some headphones? Use them!

Another way to ease the anger could be by doing something a lot of people like doing anyway, listen to music. This is when that "angry, loud" music your grandparents disapprove of comes in handy. You might be into something loud and heavy to ease your anger, or you might lean more toward the easy listening (i.e. Celine Dion, Leanne Rhymes). Listening to music is a great way to calm your anger and tune out the people that was making you mad. Wouldn't it be great to look at your nagging mother yelling at you and you don't hear a word she's saying?

Take a Walk

Walk it off! A lot of people tend to take walks and enjoy the scenery and have that "alone time" to collect their thoughts and calm down. Working up a sweat could be considered as working out all the wrongs in your life and the negativity. Like to talk? Take someone with you. Having someone you like to talk to (i.e a grandmother) could help out a lot with easing your pain as well as giving you company if you don't like to walk alone.

Give it a try!

Anger comes and goes, some instances sooner than others, but it never remains forever. Use these simple exercises to help ease the anger to a minimum. Maybe you'll feel better and also, the others around you would feel better as well. Without all that negative energy around, people get along a lot easier.
