Succeeding in School for Teens
In order for you to succeed in school and get the best out of life you need to work hard. There is no easy way to be a success and your success relies on yourself trying your very best at all times.
If you want to leave school with good grades/exam results you need to make sure that you are in school every day and only absent when you are ill and can physically not get in.
When in school you should not prat about like some of your friends may do, they are not learning anything by being the class room joker. If they are disrupting your learning in any way, tell your teacher. If the teacher is spending more time dealing with the class room prats than helping you with your work I suggest you speak to your headteacher or head of year and ask them if you may be placed in a different class for that lesson.
During your last few years you really need to concentrate making sure you hand in all of your assignments on time and well in advance if you can. When at home use the internet as a resource to learn from, it is better than any library and you can learn everything and anything using it.
When the time comes to revise sit at a desk with a plant if possible, somewhere relaxing and where you know you wont be bothered by family and friends. Being on your own will help you concentrate and give your revision a head start.
Use the internet for revision when you become stuck and try to remember everything you have learned, if you are struggling remembering certain things ask your teacher to help you learn a good way of remembering it as there always is one.
When it comes to your exams make sure you are not nervous and fully prepared and equipped. If you feel nervous take a deep breath or two before entering the exam room.
When in the exam room do not respond to anyone that tries to distract you, get your head down and try your best to concentrate. If you come to any questions you find hard, and you skip them, remember to go back and try them again, dont leave them out. Even if your answer is a wild guess, it could still get a you an extra mark if it is a good guess.
Always remember that succeeding in school is very important. It can help you gain a job easily after leaving as well as any apprenticeships you fancy doing. You really need to try and love and enjoy your coursework, revision and studying. People tend to be better at the things they enjoy and I believe this applies to school too. If you try to enjoy it you will succeed.
I hope you have enjoyed this short article.
