Keeping Cool in Summer for Teens
This is a short article describing how teens can keep themselves cool in summer.
In summer when it is hot outside we can all become very agitated and sweaty too. In order to stay fresh we need to have more baths or showers and protect ourselves from the sun. Our clothing will also make us hot or cool too. Here is a few tips for teenagers to keep cool in the summer.
- Wear light coloured clothing.
- The less clothes you wear the better you will cool off.
- Use water on your hot spots, if your head is hot soak a flannel under the cold water tap and rinse it and place it on your forehead for some relief.
- If you are becoming very sweaty it is a good thing, stand in the wind to aid its evaporation and you will cool down too.
- Get yourself in the shade, sit under a tree to cool down.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of cold water but avoid pop and other sugary drinks.
- If you are in a car turn on the air conditioning if you can.
- Try ice pops, chilled water and other cool drinks.
- Wear sun lotion if you are in the sun for prolonged periods.
Personally to cool down I think the best way is to sit in the shade for a long time and have lots of cool water.
