Feeling Sad, Hopeless or Depressed?
Feeling Sad, Hopeless or Depressed as a Teenager?
Many teens and adults can at some point in their lives feel sad or hopeless. Feeling sad or hopeless is a form of depression however small or large it may be.
If you are feeling sad or hopeless you can reach out to those around you like your family, friends, colleagues or anyone else you may know and speak to them about your feelings. They may say “You’ve nothing to worry about” and things similar to that as they may not understand how you feel but they are only trying to help you feel better and pull you from the depths of depression, they may have been there too so they may understand how you feel.
Your feelings are perfectly normal, sometimes during these times many people will feel like hurting themselves, this is normal too. You probably will feel that asking for help will be pointless and a waste of time, but it won’t be. Once you have taken the first steps of seeking help and advice and spoken to someone about how you feel your feelings and thoughts may begin to change and for the better.
It is always hard asking for help but your family, friends and teachers are there to listen and speak to you and so are us all on teenforumz.com. Reach out to us and we will do our best to support and advise you through these feelings.
Always seek help in the most comfortable way possible, if you don’t like your family then they may not be the best place to start, instead speak with a good friend or someone you can trust. If you would prefer to speak to someone who you don’t really know or ask openly about your feelings teenforumz.com can listen to you too. That is why we are here, to help and advise you through anything.
Thank you for reading and I wish you the best of luck.
