Quote:
Dante described vengeance as "love of justice perverted to revenge and spite". In its original form, the sin of wrath also encompassed anger pointed internally rather than externally. Thus suicide was deemed as the ultimate, albeit tragic, expression of wrath directed inwardly, a final rejection of God's gifts.

Dude, I already knew all that.
I just Googled the Seven Deadly Sins and this is what I found.
It's for the lawlz mostly but also it was going to be a reference for a story I was going to write.
I know about the levels of hell, I've never read Dante (but I'm so hoping for that leather-bound book for Christmas) but I know what I know.
But this was based off the Seven Cardinal Sins (or Deadly Sins).
Slightly different from what you're talking about.Posted 22-12-09 at 02:44 PM by Marionetta

interesting. A story you say? What about?Posted 22-12-09 at 02:47 PM by -
The Seven Demons that represent the Sins.
And their human Masters who are named after the Seven Angels (Archangels I guess). Little is known about most of the Angels though.
Michael and Gabriel are the two main Angels is what I mean.
Also I was gonna take a suggestion and make more characters to go along with the 72 Demons of The Lesser Key of Solomon.
Which, wasn't really my idea. I heard about Gaap of the Lesser Key from Umineko, looked him (or her?) up and discovered the Lesser Key.Posted 22-12-09 at 02:56 PM by Marionetta

Yeah, I know actually. lol
I said they were hard to find, I think, but I did find them.
Uriel - Good angel of Death
Samael (also said to be Satan) - Bad angel of Death
Now, in my current story. Samael, Satan, and Beelzebub are in it - but not yet.
Yeah, I heard that, but I prefer to use the pronunciations I know.Posted 22-12-09 at 03:06 PM by Marionetta

just be careful not to steal the plot of Inferno, the Divine Comedy and Paradise lostPosted 22-12-09 at 03:21 PM by -

haha, fair enough. Paradise Falls is an epic poem (10,000+ lines) about Lucifer and Beelzebub's banishment from heaven and man's fall from Eden.Posted 22-12-09 at 03:40 PM by -
