She Said The Word Ugly [poem]
She wakes up in the morning
takes a look into that broken mirror
she says she feels ugly
but her mother still forgives her
Her daddy never loved her
always made her feel bad
she claims he used to rape her
but who in this world will ever understand
So she cuts her wrists
and she bleeds on the bathroom floor
she slashes her stomach
and carves the rotten word "w h o r e"
She throws salt on her body
screaming as the music plays
she says she feels ugly
and she hates the image she portrays
Always looking over her shoulder
afraid that someone might just question her
for why she's wearing long sleeves
when the sun is burning like it has never
She hates the boys in school
they always seem to make fun of her
maybe that's why she feels ugly
the girls with no personality always seem thinner
She gets home and she screams
breaking every memory she's ever had
cutting herself some more
lying on the floor, waiting for the nightmare to end
Her mother walks in a little while later
seeing her daughter pale and lost
She calls those that can save her
an hour later this girl is already gone
She told me she felt ugly
and no one would ever love her
all she wanted was to be perfect
and now she's gone, there's nothing left of her
but her memories remain
her smile was something we all loved about her
and there is no such thing as ugly
i just wish i could have told her [/CENTER]
