I Personally Think It Should Be Free. Like Microsoft Dont Have Enough Money As It Is! Playstation 3 Is Free So Why Cant Xbox Live Be.

I personally don't see the problem, Its only what £40 a year, that not exactly extortionate, But I think your paying for a better online exprience with XBL, yeah PSN is great too but I just think the XBL exprience is better.

I own both systems, I just like the XBL system better, PS3 makes the money for its online system by the console sales and I think a portion of the game sales, considering the PS3 is a lot of money to begin with.

Heck yea it should b free! I mean really, u want me to pay $64.00 a year to get lost in video games when other consoles has this Same EXACT service for FREE?? Really? I mean like, Seriously?? Its bad enough Ive got bills and books to pay for!

i think xbl should be free...at least for playing multiplayer...instead of for chat...but posting on a site like this isn't gonna get anything done...

If anything, keep the PS free. The new subscription service is unbelievably crap. The only "benefit" (I use the term lightly) to having it is that the PS3 will now automatically turn on and download updates. What a load of...

Oh, and you get a symbol next to your user-name on tyour PSN friends list, and you get one "free" game (like Pacman) every month, and anything you buy which is exclusive to the subscription service is deactivated if you leave subscription.

RIP OFF.

At 'least Xbox360 gives you good features.

lol, the service's aren't 'identical' - paying for XBL means that they always have stable servers, for every game that has online capabilities.

As they say, you get what you pay for.

Sure, it'd be nice if it were free, but it's not really that expensive if you get the Gold Membership for a year...
If anything, EVERY 360 should have built in WiFi. Having to wait to go out and buy the damn wireless adapter for $100 is really annoying.
