Default Red Dead Redemption

Has anyone played it yet? I am loving how unique it is so far, I never thought a cowboy kind of game would be so damn good, then again it was made by Rockstar games and all you really see from them is absolute quality.

Here is a few images from the game:

Here is a video of one of my favourite parts so far:

The game also has a lot of great ratings on all the gaming sites unsurprisingly.

Anyone else playing this or getting it soon? What do you think of it?

I wish I could get it. It looks so cool! *loves Cowboy and Western themes*
Knowing my cousins, they'll probably have it though.

It doesnt just look it either, the graphics are spot on other than a few bugs ive noticed with the horses getting stuck and cant move when you need them to on missions. The characters in it are good too, theres one called "Irish" who is quite funny.

Apparently the Irish arent too happy with the stereotypical character being in the game:

Just got it, shall pass judgment on it later. Haven't read too much about the game, but seeing as how it's from Rockstar I'm expecting violence, strong language, sex, and a GTA-sized world.

The world is massive, you will be thankful for the campfires you have which allow you to skip to previously visited destinations. There is plenty of violence and strong language in it too.

The game seems alright so far. I hate herding (they never go in the direction I want them too ), and the controls do my head-in (and you can't change them as far as I'm aware :(). Other than that, seems like a pretty good game.

Oh, and the graphics don't seem as good as I thought they were be, and there are a few movement bugs with the NPC's. Nothing major though really.

Yeah the herding is pretty annoying, I wasnt overly happy with:
the mission where the cows almost run off the edge of the cliff and you need to stop them in time
The controls I find alright myself but im not keen on having to hit the a button all the time to make the horse move and I cant stand when it throws you off, especially when some animal comes along and kills you out of the blue

I must say though, the hitting of the a button does make it more realistic because a horse doesnt really accelerate like a car would.

Thats what most people will think when they see the images but honestly, I thought it may have not been my kind of game until I played it. I reckon it is the best of 2010 so far

They're not bad, it's just I don't think I've played any game with this button set-up.

R2's fire, R1's take cover and O is reload. I've much preferred it as R1 Fire, R2 Reload, O Cover. I find myself reloading when I want to get cover and taking cover when I don't want to. xD
