Re: Shogun 2: Total War
Take it you've never really played a Total War game Michael?
There are two sides of a Total War title, there the over head world map view, where you organise your cities and build armies and handle diplomancy. Then theres the usual RTS view when your armies siege a city or engage another army, you control each unit which will have, depending on what you set you're unit sizes to and depending on your rig, can have from the a small 50 man unit for less powerful computers to about 200 per unit, and which 20 of these units on either side + any reinforcing allied armies or enimes the numbers of indivual soldiers can sky rocket into numbers like 15,000.
Shogun was the first game to do this, then there was Medieval, Rome, Medieval 2, Empire and most recently Napoleon, now theres Shogun 2. Sohgun was the raw essence of what a total war game is, I just want to see how they impliment everything they have learnt from various titles.
