Well to make it simple i am trying to put myself into another pic. i have the photo all cut out and everything but when i past it into the other pic it has the square background on it. I saved the image as .GIF and everything.

I am using paint.net

A good idea is to do this, just before you save in the layers pallette, turn off the bottom most layer by unchecking it, then when saving it would be a good idea to save as a PNG rather than a gif if youre wanting a transparent background.
