Icon11 GIMP or Photoshop?

I use GIMP because we can't afford photoshop (plus it's FREE!). I personally think that photoshop is better, but you have to admit GIMP is pretty darn close to photoshop.

i use Photoshop. but only if ive to do more complex work with images. the drawback to Photoshop is, it lasts long to load cause of thousands of plug-ins. normally i use an editor, i found as a full version on DVD of an old PC-mag. its called picture publisher or so ... i believe that Corel distribute the newer version under another name. but yeah, its not as good as GIMP. ^^

I tried GIMP but it confused me for some reason and I just couldn't get me head round it. Also, because I use Fireworks and Dreamweaver, it makes sense to use Photoshop.

Scandalous question!

Photoshop. I've trialled GIMP before but a) dislike the interface, and b) am not too keen on the name! Then again, I've always used Photoshop so I suppose the familiarity is a big contributor to my choice.

There's a certain hint of professionalism if you know your way around Photoshop, which is particularly handy if you're applying for most computer orientated jobs!

but you can use the gimp-shop-GUI-tool that lets GIMP looks like photoshop.

and dont forget, GIMP was originally a program for Linux. like most of the from Linux to Windows portied programs, because there still a Linux-close, functional user interface features..

like almost all from Linux to Windows ported programs, GIMP still suffers cause of its Linux-related functional user-interface-features.

^ Really?! Mad ... is the idea of GIMP, then, a bit like what Open Office is to Microsoft Word?
