Right well I spent almost all day yesterday waiting for APB (I still dont know what all points bulletin is meant to mean) to download and install, that was kinda expected though annoying as it was.
The graphics I think could be improved a bit but for an online game they are great. When creating a character the system is excellent, I havent seen such a good character customiser before and when buying clothing you can also customise them very well too. You can also customise cars with vinyls etc but I have yet to try that out.
To begin with you do a ten minutes tutorial and then you start accepting missions from contacts which then allows you to automatically group up with others. Being new to online games in general I found myself following others playing in my group and imitating what they were doing, getting in a car of a fellow player and protecting the car is so much fun. I played for about 4 hours and I am still unsure if I am doing things right.
The missions are a bit repetitive from what I have seen so far but its the same with games like WOW etc you are assigned to go and burn things, break in somewhere (the break ins I have seen are really crap mind you, its more like forcing a window open and picking up an item), you need to guard vehicles and also spray up places before the opposition comes and kills you.
I think I must have died about 300 times last night, some guy killed me about twenty times in a row.
When I wanted to buy some clothes I asked someone where to buy them and they showed me so players seem to be quite helpful (not sure if thats common on MMO's).
I think it would be even more fun to play in groups of people you know on it.
I would definitely say it was worth the £20 on it and I do plan on paying for some more game time when my 50 hours runs out, probably take a while for me to use it all up
I must add that it isnt like GTA IV at all, not the single player game, if you like the online play of GTA IV then I think you may like this
