so, here's the thing. first of all, i've got 149 free gb in my d:/. so, i downloaded mirosoft flight simulator and it had 5 parts (.rar) in each dvd (they are 2 dvd's). so, when they finished downloading, i put the 5 parts of the dvd 1 in one folder and ran the winRAR archiver to extract the .iso file. but when it comes almost to the end, this error appears to me stoping the extraction. does anyone knows what is happening??
what appears on the first error is: THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE ON THE DISK
Try using 7ZIP it is a little hard to get used to rather than Winrar, but if 7Zip fails on you know its an issue with the files themselves or it could be disk space related like it says, somehow.
As long as youre extracting to that drive it should be fine, pick the 1st link as youre most likely on 32bit not 64. If that doesnt work I would think theres issues with the files themselves. To open with 7ZIP right click the first rar/zip file, open with... choose 7ZIP, I think its not the console one, the other one from the list.
well, i just tried with 7 zip. on the d:/ it still gave me the same mistake . now i am trying on my portable hard drive to see if the error still remains..
bte, i didn't find 7 zip difficult because the only thing i did was right click, 7 zip, extract here... and now it's extracting
i am installing for the second time now... the first time it kept showing me errors.. now it requires the disk 2, which i have already mounted, but it keeps asking for it... damn
Daemon tools should be fine then, actually I know your issue if you havent fixed it already, make sure the drive letter it is looking for is the drive letter you mounted disc 2 on.
