Default What Games Consoles Did You Grow Up Playing?

My first console was the Dreamcast! I always used to play Street Fighter with my parents on it, blimey this makes me nostalgic.

Secondly I had the Gameboy Colour. I got this from a very young age, can't remember if I was 6 or older.. for some reason, my mind thinks I was 6. Gotta love the music from back then, four sound channels and they could still make great soundtracks!

Third was the original Playstation, playing games like Spyro and such! It was originally my dad's but after playing Gran Turismo and Doom so much, he gave it to me.

Then, I won a PS2 at a competition! Also won Ape Escape 2 with it.

A few years after this, a friends family gave me their original Xbox for christmas, as they had no need for it anymore. (I have only just realised I've never payed for my own games console...)

Then lastly, I owned an Xbox 360 for a year. Got rid of it because I decided having a PC was a lot more practical! Also, PS3 and Xbox 360s suck. (Ready to get flamed.)

What about you? What games consoles did you grow up playing?

I used to play Nintendo64 with my Dad. Um... the I got a Gameboy, I lost it... I played Tetris on that Then I got a Gameboy Advanced, played a lot of Pokemon, Mario, Sonic on that. Then while all the n00bs got Gameboy Advanced SPs I saved for the DS and got that! CHA! Then a DS Lite and a Wii. Now I'm with an Xbox360 and once I get my external drive hopefully some games on my Mac.

I had a PS1 which I still play loads.

Gameboy Color->Nintendo 64->Gamecube->DS Lite->Wii

Had a great time tryng to catch/see all 150 pokemon, though my game crashed and lost all memory before I just had to see 1 more pokemon.

See-through green Nintendo 64 to go with Donkey Kong 64, hardest game ever since it required you to beat this retro donkey kong game (the one with donkey kong throwing barrels at Mario).

Loved Majora's Mask on the Gamecube, Skull Kid was my favorite character!

DS Lite I enjoyed playing "The World Ends With You," nothing else grabed my attention as much as that game did.

Wii became too family-orientated for my taste after the major release titles but I do play Super Smash Bros. Brawl whenever someone comes over and asks (have the other 2 Smash Bros games for the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube, loved the original Super Smash Bros. commercial at that time.)
