Default Adding tab on programs list?

I wasn't quite sure how to name this thread...

Right, on Vista, when you click the Vista icon in the bottom-left hand corner (default), you get a list of most used programs. On the right side it has stuff like "Documents", "Pictures", "Recent Items", "Computer", "Control Panel".

Is there a way to add more links to that column? I was hoping to add Downloads and Videos tabs to that area.

Yeah thats easy Right click the start icon as I call it still, properties, customise and there is some options in there for you, one of the first things I tweak on a reinstall It doesnt allow custom ones however but I am sure the ones you want are.

I did as you suggested but I can only see options to customize the buttons currently there. I can't see anything that allows me to add new buttons. =/

If you choose Downloads Display as a link it should work I think The videos one is right at the bottom at least in Win7.

Unless you are talking about adding custom buttons to custom directories there.

Thanks a lot for the video. Unfortunately it doesn't seem as if they appear on Vista. :(

EDIT:

The best I can do is change "Personal Folder" to open as a menu so that the Downloads folder is shown as part of a drop-down box.

Im sure they will have this in Vista somewhere, seems lack a really silly thing not to include. I will have a look around and see if I can find how to do this.
