I dont myself, I would end up with a right mess to turn the PC onto. I would rather close the lot and start a fresh.

By the way, this tutorial will only show you how to print hello world to the browser, so it isnt much at all. The XHTML and CSS ones will show a lot more for your time.

That's ok. I just want to contribute with the sample hello world lesson:

print ("Hello World");
?>

or

Code:

echo ("Hello World");
?>

or using a variable:

Code:

<?php
$message="Hello World";
echo("$message");
?>

Of course your php file must be placed on your web server's public folder (usually public_html or htdocs, check your httpd.conf if using apache)
