If anyone is interested in taking part in a very basic PHP lesson please leave a note within this thread. In order for you to do this lesson you will need to install this first:

XAMPP | Download XAMPP software for free at SourceForge.net

This program allows your computer to read php files and display them locally rather than needing a web server. I must point out that this lesson will only be a very basic taster of PHP as I am not fluent in the language myself at all but it is one I am hoping to learn over time

already downloaded... and looking forward to the next lesson

This isnt the same as the last one mind you, this a completely different language and one I am struggling with myself so this wont be in depth like the other one, just a php taster really.

either way, hey, you do the best you can. that's alright if it's not perfect. so what? we aren't either. if we want to go deeper, we can search on our own too. we got hands and a keyboard, so....

It talked? or did the Hello World html page pop up?

no, it wrote things and i had to say yes or no. and then i pressed "x" to exit.. but it was...different

Oh that part, thats just the end of the setup. I wondered what you meant there. If you want you can stop it from loading when you start your PC, Start > Search box type > msconfig > Startup tab > uncheck XAMPP.

i never shut my pc down.. i either just block the pc or hibernate it

I know two other people who do that, its odd lifting up a screen, pressing the power button on to be greeted with whatever was last there.
