Now, I know this isn't exactly a new title, but now it's got no subscription fee I was thinking of getting it. I pay for WoW so paying for LOTRO was a bit of stretch.

Who here has it, or has some experience playing it? Just want to see if it's as good as I've heard. as an avid LOTR fan I'm drawn to it but I'm im just cautious as to what I should expect. I know it's no WoW clone by any means, just want too see whats different from people who's played it

I had heard they were removing the subscription, but I can't be arsed to get it. My mum will literally kill me if I buy any more games.

They have, but now with-out it you have to buy quest pakcs instead of having full access. but you have free-2-play users,premium and VIP or so I've read, if you buy the Moria expansion pack you made a VIP memeber for 30 days (They have 100% access) then downgraded to a premium which has 75% access.

They said F2P can earn Turbine point in game to spend for exnapsions and stuff so you don't actually have to pay for anything really if you grind at it, but I prefer to buy what I need instead of having to play for 100+ hours to get enough points to say buy a single qeust pack

Turbine have cocked it up personally.

Okay, I decided to purchase it - even after about 5 days of trying to hunt down a copy of the original and the Mines of Moria expansion - I finally found it, bought it. as the Fee is the same as WoW I'll probably pay until they get the F2P sorted out, which they are still having touble with.

The trouble is either on Turbines end or Codemaster, I'm guessing Codemaster end. but regardless I've got it now, well not yet Ordered from amazon.co.uk where i have to go through a third-party seller than use amazon as a hub. should be here tomorrow or Tuesday depending.

I'd never found Lord of Rings interesting :X
