Forgot my laptop charger and now I'm running off the battery. Annoying but it does seem to last pretty long. I've got a newer studio with windows 7. How long does y'alls battery seem to last, and what power setting do you put it on? I'm getting 3-5 hours which is way more than I used to get before. j/w

This showed up in the 'most recent threads' as just 'How long...' and I laughed a bit.

My laptop used to run for about two hours max. Now I've just gone back down to a desktop. Laptop Batteries only have a few months of good lifespan.

Mine's broken. As soon as my laptop is unplugged, -black screen-

i use an old Toshiba
its battery less for about an hour & half
but if you want to keep it a life more just charge it
then remove it & use the AC power
when you feel like you want to use your laptop for a long time
for short time you can use the battery without plugging it to socket

I've got an Advent laptop and the battery left unplugged last usually about 3-5 hours,
i think thats pretty good, i just sometimes leave it plugged in while i use the laptop

Yeah, I still use my desktop sometimes too. I was just wondering if what I was getting was a lot or a little but it sounds pretty good.
I don't know about the battery not lasting longer than a few months. My first laptop that I still have, I've had for three years and use a ton. It's battery is still kickin'. I just got a new laptop because.. it's new haha.

it depends on using the laptop ...

by watching videos or so - 3-5 horas
by only using word etc - 6-7 hours

Using the settings that I use when it is plugged in (aka max brightness and all that jazz), I can keep it off the charger for a good 3-5 hours. If I put everything at minimum, I can and have it going for 10+ hours. Since I'm at home and don't go anywhere, my charger is always at hand so I use max settings when unplugged.
