Default remote media streaming?

Does anyone use or have used remote media streaming?

(remote media streaming = you can access music, pics, etc. that are on your main computer from anywhere you are, away from the main computer)

I've personally not used it until I got win 7 and set it up with my xbox to send some videos from my laptop to the tv. It's pretty neat and not hard to set up at all.

I use it almost daily streaming films and tv shows through the 360 so I can watch them on the TV. Thats my main use of our Xbox 360.

When I had my Xbox I didn't have to set anything up to be able to do this.
Or are we talking about something else?

Well to set some of it up you need to change an option in Windows Media Center and allow for them to see each other. Also it allows for you to choose what directories are shared with the 360 on your PC. There isnt much to it though.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about.
Although I guess most people have netflix on the 360 now too.
Does netflix have tv shows and all?
