How could I forget. To be honest i did not like that mission at all. It was quite pointless and only
slightly helped with the story line. I HATED it how you couldn't run until a certain area
and still then you were jogging. The whole mission I didn't kill any civilians...I know it's
not real life I just still felt bad for em

Same as my brother
but i was different
i finish all the pullets in my guns
Grenades Everything
i didn't like it that much
especially after all that you get killed
what's the point of it
I saw the whole controversy of it, but it really didn't strike me as bad, I've seen worse. The level isn't all that graphic anyway, I just got on with it and played it, didn't really give it much thought.
For example, GTA IV overall is worse - think about it - in COD MW2, you have one 5 minute section out of a roughly 15 minute level, depending on the difficulty, where you're actually killing civilians. but even out of the 5 minutes only 2 minutes is actually spent doing it you're self, you'e mainly just watching.
But anyway, GTA IV or even Red Dead Redemption, you could just start killing civilians on the fly for hours if you wanted it, it's just as graphic as COD, but noone complained about that when it came out - not that I heard anyway - also COD's overall graphic content was nothing compared to say..God of War.
Okay yeah, I can agree with all of that. I think the reason people got so worked up about this particular game this particular level is that the specific point of it was to kill helpless civilians, it wasn't just an option, it was the mission. You know?

But there was still the option to NOT do the level in first place, so you know, there were measures in place so you didn't have to play the level. it was an optional level as far as I can see it.
Okay yeah, I guess I didn't phrase that right: within the mission, the specific point was to be a terrorist. Which obviously would turn all the gamers into terrorists, so, you know, the concern is clear... *cough*

I just find it ridiculous how the media blew it all out of proportion and tried to blame Infinity Ward - saying how young children and people under 18 can hold of the game - not like thats IW's fault, if a parent buys the child the game without looking in to it or doesn't care, blame the parent not the developer who already had several systems in place as well as the rating by PEGI.
