Hey xboxerz. I was woundering what you all think about the whole achievement system?
I like it personally. It gives me something to aim for, and keeps me playing.
Also, what's your gamerscore?

I've got 3505, but I've had an account before. :}

It was either 6000 or 3600 odd when I had Xbox. I like it, but I never strived for achievements - never really found it too much fun.

Didn't you like the feeling when you got an achievement?

I have hardly any gamer score at the moment, I used to have one profile that had about 4000 gamer score but I deleted the gamer profile when selling the hard drive. Im not sure if theres any way I can get it back but I have two new profiles now as we have three Xbox 360's now, one broken and were keeping it for parts, one premium and one elite.

I think gamerscore gives you something to achieve when playing a game, some people will enjoy trying to get all of them so it is a good idea to have them. Plus having ones solely for when playing online is good. It depends on who you are really, I dont care about getting them and the only time I do get them is when playing a game without taking any notice, you still rack up plenty like that.

I think the best point about them is showing off a high score you have online.

Well, can't you recover your old account? Only if your account was online, you can recover all your gamerscore + username.

Totally, when it comes to competition I change completely and need to be the best! So far I've failed.

personally i think theyre a great idea but it kinda depends what kind of gamer you are
my friend went through a phase where he had to get every achivement for every game but for me i wont aim for an achivement unless im seriously bored or someone will do it with me =D
oh yeah and my gamer score is 6747 =P
