for some reason on msn i was getting no sound on my headset (nor any sound for that matter), tried to unplug and replug them in, both times got a blue screen. could not read it, all it did was reboot pc

Is your sound working at all through your headset, or just msn? Is it a USB headset?

One time I had no sound for the longest time, then I found that on windows media player the sound was muted.
Maybe try factory restoring your computer? That always does wonders for me.

I was getting no sound at all. It would be when I launched MSN and started a video call. Its a USB headset.

did it to me again!!! the lights on the headset are on as they should, even checked the settings everything is correct. dunno whats going on here, u guys?

Have you tried using the headset with any other programs such as Skype
or a gaming chat program like teamspeak or vent etc?

Yea, they work just find with other programs. Just seems to be with MSN.

Try reinstalling msn?

What version is it?
Don't forget that the new msn is, well, new. So it will still have a few bugs...
