By far the best non free games are: World Of Warcraft,Starcraft2,Diablo 3( comming out next year) but for free i think the best is Guild Wars since they made it a free game about 5-6 months ago

A really good MMORPG to play online for free is Lord Of The Rings Online. you have to buy the disc, but playing it is 100% free.

I think you can Download from the site if not there are some sites that you download for free and play
