No way this side of hell freezing over is dad going to let me get either. He laughed and said:

i did manage to get a XOOM because it was on sale on WOOT.COM for $299. have to pay half myself. i would like to get an iPad2, but can't afford it.

Definitely Android. iPhone's got too many unnecessary restrictions, which is the main drawback. Plus, I always prefer open-source software if it's good enough, like Android.
