A handful of you saw my test thread earlier, and due to the interest shown I'm releasing the completed plugin. It uses Greasemonkey as it's engine, which allows the running of custom Javascript on websites. Thus it works natively on Chrome, and on Firefox with Greasemonkey installed.
The basic idea behind it is that it replaces smiley abbreviations like :), :(, :/ with an image link to the corresponding Riceball emoticon.
It also adds the Riceball emoticons as clickable images in the Smilies box below the textarea.
This only works on the Advanced page however, but it works with every one of them (editing, posting, profile comments...).
Without further ado, I present to you TeenForumz Riceball-plugin. The link also contains instructions on installing Greasemonkey.
awesome to see those little fellows around the site
May 16: Discoid lupus (the most common form of skin lupus) accounts for approximately 10 percent of all cases of lupus and occurs in 20 percent of those with systemic lupus.
These are cute, but Greasemonkey isn't compatible with my version of Firefox. I hate Chrome, though, so I'll deal. Great plugin, though!

This is due to the developer of Greasemonkey being too lazy to change the compatibility version number in the add-on. You can find a guide here on how to disable compatibility checking. After that you can install Greasemonkey and the world will be a better place again!
"Ooh and our gods and heroes,
are only ones and zeroes.
Join hands and sing along.
Everything we know is wrong."
It has come to my attention that an user named "Hany.Dragon" on userscripts.org has copied the plugin shamelessly and posted it under his name.
The link to the real one can be seen in the original post, I take no responsibility in case the offending user decides to add cookie stealing code into his version. As of yet there seems to be no modifications to the code however.
Let the Riceballs loose!
Obligatory love-smiley to @Itachi:
