What are the best FPS games with long single-player campaigns?
I've got a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and gaming hasn't been a issue with its Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. Well, rather than gettin into the tech-specs of my laptop, lemme come to the point.
Like most of you, I'm also a fan of high-end computer games. The best among the ones I've got on my laptop are "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare", "Assassin's Creed 2" and "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood". Now, I'm looking for another first person shooter which would be as good as Modern Warfare, but with a long SINGLE-PLAYER campaign. To my disappointment, the single player campaign of Modern Warfare was rather short. On the other hand, AC2 was long enough for me, although not an FPS. I can't play the online multiplayer campaign because of my broadband connection which is as slow as 30 KBPS. I've been thinking of getting Modern Warfare 2 or Battlefield 3, but I've read that their single-player campaigns are short as well. So, can anyone suggest me some awesome FPS games with a satisfyingly long single-player campaign? High-quality graphics, environment and sounds are must, and also well-developed AI (like F.E.A.R 3), since I hate it when my AI allies or enemies do stupid acts.

Don't get BF3 for the campaign. DICE said it themselves Spell Check is just a minor part of the game.
Rage on the other hand, is worth a shot, it's got a nice campaign and the graphics are out of this world. According to all the reviews. But the story kinda sucks I hear.
And well, err, that's kinda about all I know of as far as PC gaming goes. :/
Bioshock Infinite is coming next year. So yeah... like I said.

I would say if you have done the CoD4 campaign, you do the MW2 campaign, then MW3 will be right around the corner by the time you have finished it. So you will have got the capaigns (that run into eachother) all done back to back.
I am getting good at video making, come and give me tips and show love on YouTube

any of the three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games (you may need to download a texture pack to get the amazing graphics though)
they are pretty much only single player but not pure FPS, theres a bit of RPG and survival horror thrown in too
oh and the story is completely unique, and they usually sell for really cheap (i got the first 2 for

Mass Effect 2 was kinda nice, but it can get tiring by the end sometimes. It's got a 60 hour campaign though, and the story is pretty nice. A lot of detail in the universe too.
I haven't played DS2, I demoed it and found it fine, just not my cup of tea.

Oh i know the perfect zombie type game that takes forever....
Fallout (any of the new ones)
Its an RPG game set in a nucked out world and what not. It is SUPER deep and takes a while, and has a great replay ability.
That is the first one off the top of my head, it is a good buy no joke.
It has some fps elements, but most of the time you dont need good aim, its mostly ranked up skill sets. But its still tons of fun =)
Dead space is also good. BUT it has some INTENSE moments. My friend who is going to join the army and DIE (his words not mine) Found a few moments scary, the rest disturbing. So yes this is only for those who can handle it.
Even though im a battlefield fan, DO NOT get BF3 for its single player. Its just crap.
Good luck dude on finding a good FPS game with a great storyline, theres just not that many out there ;D
Forgive the crappy grammar!
