Yeah, at the minute USA and Canada, arent that bothered, but many big companies are trying to get a law passed that makes the rules in my last post come into place

Very very very few people have actually been charged for "torrenting" copyrighted material. The authorities spend most time shutting down the businesses that host and supply links to such material. That way they get a lot more money.

I must have downloaded over 1TB of information via torrents before I changed ISPs. Torrenting was like my #1 source for anything, but after switching ISPs I discovered something far better than torrents (downloading wise), I personally think torrents suck now. Configuartion has always been a bastard for me on uTorrent, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't (and this is when the torrent was healthy with plenty of seeds). Why download something at say 400kbp/s when I can downloaded via filesharing websites at 50mbp/s.

Chances of getting caught are a possibility if you're a numpty but very slim in my opinion. The key thing is to observe comments whether it's via torrents or other forms of downloading, the community of website you're on generally help each other out as there are cases of fake torrents simply designed to track you.
