Is it just me, or does Facebook's new Timeline feature promote the revealing of too personal of information? Seriously, there's an option for your first kiss. That's like the date you lost your virginity. Don't even get me started about the option to talk about your relationship ending.
I agree... Honestly, Facebook has no business knowing when my "first" anything was. I'll share that with people if and when I want to.
But, I do like the timeline feature - and I like the increased privacy features (or maybe they aren't increased? Just more obvious? I dunno)...

its asking for trouble, if youve got a good relationship, i suggest deleting facebook. because as soon as you like a photo, everyone of your friends can see the bloody thing on your timeline -.- its baaad its a invasion of privacy, if your like me, i have a lot of bm8s half girls half boys, if i like one of my girls bezzies pictures my gf could get all jealous leads to a argument over nothing!! facebook does start fights, and end relationships!! they should be making it more private not more open!!!
Is timeline the thing that appears on the side of your facebook? above the chat thingy?

Timeline is still in beta stages, I'm still waiting for my access to it since I signed up minutes are it was announced in the F8 event. I agree with the OP, FB is one of the key things that I've been discussing about in my Social Computing lessons at Uni, about how people are far too open on it and will share anything including private information.
And as a reply to you David, I believe FB made the privacy functionality has been pushed to be more clearer to users because I set my privacy up tightly a good year or two ago.
Yeah I guess, but it is still everyone's own decision what they put on there.
Someone said this in my lesson at Uni, and it moved the key debate to "Do people actually know how open their FB account is?". Since not EVERYONE that uses FB is social networking savvy and stuff.
Yeah I don't have that yet, and must we get it sooner or later or is it our choice whether or not we have it?
