I'm surprised that nobody has made a thread on this yet. The game came out yesterday. What do you guys think?

I personally don't own it yet. I'll get it closer to the holidays. If it didn't have the new and improved spec ops, I wouldn't even think about getting it. Also because MW3 is based on the MW2 engine, it's outdated! Massive disappointment for me, spec ops makes it worth 60 bucks though. Otherwise it'd be worth 20, max.

Got it yesterday, personally i think it's a huge step for the cod series.
i enjoy it ^_^

The graphics are a definite upgrade, of course they would be. The servers suck and the multiplayer suffers because of it. I think the upgrading and customization of your classes is pretty cool, as well at the 80 instead of 50 levels. I like how it is set and have played a good portion of the campaign already. Yes i do miss black ops but isn't that always how it goes when i new one comes out, i'm sure that everyone is going to get used to it and they are going to fix the servers and then by the the time the next one comes out people aren't going to want to part with this one lol

Haha my brother got it at midnight, and has been playing it nonstop.

I personally haven't played Call of Duty, but it must be good if everyone stayed up all night to play it.

gah, my boyfriend was one of those guys that had it pre-ordered and stood in line to get it at midnight. i guess its really good, he skipped school to play it all day and i didn't here from him at all except when he had to stop to eat for a minute. haha, i'm sure its awesome, i just suck at that kind of video game >_<

some of my friends got it and they say it's just a reskin of mw2
bf3 however
actually some of my friends pre-ordered mw3 and were sent vouchers for 4 hours double xp but not the game on release day... fail

Cod has no dedicated servers. When you play an online match someone is the host. So the lag must be your own internet or the hosts =P



My friend got it and said it is pretty much the same old stuff. There is some new flashing stuff and thats about it. Nothing major in terms of gameplay or anything. He did note that he already sees certain things that will become overpowered later. Such as how easy it is to quick scope, and how effective it is also.

I personally wont get it simple because its the same old stuff!!! Ill stick with my BF3

just finished MW3 Campaign on Veteran, one of the best campaigns they have ever brought out by far!
