Re: Guild Wars 2
Yeah, I played the trial version for a day and could already see the trend.
Basically, it's like every other Fantasy MMORPG created by Aeria Games or Nexon... except its graphics are better... maybe. You do the usual thing where you start out as a person and then you become a person who uses a sword or a bow or a healing staff and you meet other persons and talk to persons and do quests for persons. It's like every single other MMORPG out there.
The difference is that there's a one time payment for Guild Wars, whereas most Aeria and Nexon games have a cash shop instead of a one time payment or subscription fee. Personally, I find games with cash shops are the devil's faeces sent straight from hell, but for some people it works because there's no fee at all as they choose to not buy anything from the cash shop.
All in all, if this is your first MMORPG you'll probably enjoy it. Guild Wars 2 does look pretty good, so I'd go for it.
