It'll fit on a USB. I've done it before.
-Find the 'Electronic Arts' folder in your Library.
-Click it, then click again on the Sims 3 Folder that pops up.
-Quite a few files/folders will show up, containing current sims, current game, screenshots, etc.
-Copy EVERYTHING onto your USB. Anything you might have from the store, custom content,etc., or those things will all disappear from your game.
-Done
