Default Minecraft: To Buy or Not To Buy?

I need to find a game to waste my timee on. I was thinking Minecraft, because I've heard a lot about it and it looks pretty fun.

Anyone here play it? Is it good? Shall I not bother?

I own Minecraft. I played it since it went in it's Beta stage.
It may not look like anything at first (kinda like building blocks), but it's actually really fun! Especially now that 1.1 has launched.

You can go Creative mode to have endless materials in order to create giant sculptures,
or you can go Survival mode.
Building a shelter during the day while hiding from monsters at night, making your own weapons and armor, enchanting them, and trying not to starve to death. (Yes, there is a hunger meter now.)

You can even make a portal to Hell (The Nether) itself!

Minecraft is the only video game I play these days.

Get it.

Lmao don't get it. These dorks at my school talk about it 24/7 even during class and we've all become sick of hearing about it. Doesn't sound like anything special at all.

Intelligent choice, my friend. I suggest you begin by seeing how to play minecraft. Start from Episode one, obviously (you have to scroll down and press "See More" to get to it). If you don't watch this video, YOU WILL BE LOST!

Haha, that´s the exact same series i watched when i was a Minecraft noobie!
Everything i learned is from that guy, and i remember building every house, monster spawner and contraption he had into my own world.

Now i build whole empires and giant sculptures, but the basics are still the same.
