Well, as the title says PS3 or 360... I choose the 360 because I've been a member of XBL almost 6 years now and their service has been astounding and always reliable in my opinion. I do own a PS3 but I only bought it because I could and I only wanted to play LBP and just to get some experience with the PS3; plus when I talk shit about it least I can say I have one.
The whole "installing" a game on the PS3 when it's first played it's disgraceful and is seriously a buzz kill, especially on massive games like MGS4 or Heavy Rain. Least with the 360 you have the option of installing the game, otherwise run it of the disc.
As people have mentioned, the PC is a good source for gaming but I've just spent £600 upgrading it to a satisfying level where game quality is perfect. I wouldn't call that cheap, like others have said.

Virus... PS3...email... That's just silly and untrue, I think you might have misunderstood the rumour or someone was telling you porkies.

What like CoD, BF3, GTA, Fallout, Skyrim, RDR, Dead Island, Madia, Splinter Cell, etc.. Noticed how every game I've mentioned are on both consoles. You can tell I'm in a disagreement with you. I think you probably would have got away with have saying you had better exclusives, but I'd still disagree. Xbox fan boy showing much?

It depends how Microsoft play it out, the next Xbox will be a brand new console and if Microsoft don't incorporate some form of backwards compatibility then you'd be safer getting the 360 to play games out today. Also, based on the Xbox 360 history (and any company rolling out hardware for that matter) it's probably not worth the risk getting something that's just released as there may be some serious glitches in the system still.
