Default The Future of Gaming

Well, what do you all think about the future of gaming? Do you think we will always be staring at our TV's with our controllers bashing buttons forever? Do you think the technology will allow us to play the games using our mind?

What are you thoughts and opinions everyone

I remember I had this conversation with my dad say a year or two ago. They've already got a system apparently that allows you to play with your mind but it's to dangerous because it makes your mind think it's real, si if you die in the game, you die in like.. Apparently, i don't know.

But I'd LOVE to play with my mind and feel what it's like. I'd only say this for certain games, no way in hell will I play scary games if this system was out, no way in hell. I'd love to play something like CoD4 or er, Saints Row or GTA. That'd be awesome xD

I have always imagined in the future we would maybe wear some sunglasses like things and that would place us inside the game and turn off all reality other than whats going on in the game maybe. I can imagine myself playing games like Stronghold. I would say Crysis but the aliens would be too scary for me lol I wouldnt touch GTA lol now that would be asking for in game death if you were to die in the game, apparently the same in dreams too, where you die if you dream you are dieing.

They'll probably come out with something that you can use thought waves to control a game, but I would prefer the button mashing. Too many mistakes can come with mind controlling a game, such as thinking about turning left but going right ingame and you die among other things. It'd be too frustrating to me, and you'd have to focus solely in the game, too.
