Smallsmileys148 Twisting classic themes with one small difference

Ok. Let's take classic stories and discuss how different they'd be with one little twist.
I'll start.
Romeo and Juliet
What if it had been Ramona and Juliet - how different would the classic love tragedy be if their love had been doubly forbidden, if they had been not only from feuding families but lesbians as well? Would it be wildly different, or about the same? Would there have been an uproar? Would groups like One Million Moms want it out of school required reading? Would it have gotten there in the first place?

Can't say much about a R&J version of two girls. But i guess it would be somewhat harmless to the story of Romero and Julian, an adaptation that takes place in a jock and arts-class setting of a high school.

Romero is a jock and son of a clan of American football fanatics.

And Julian comes from a clan of fanciful cultural freaks who worship role plays, painting, opera, classical music and ballet, which is why Julian has had ballet and acting classes since he was four years old.

And cause the two protagonists act flirtatiously and kiss each other on stage, you first have to find guys who kiss each other in front of the crowd.
