This topic is sickening. And if there was to be a World War 3, it would be Japan or China and most likely Russia who play the biggest part. I hate the fact of War and I also hate how they keep saying the world is going to end when Earth is in it's middle age of life.
This is true if it happens in the next 3 years... But if I'm almost sure if the US had a Commander in Chief with back-bone.. and a will to protect the nation... the US would be a very large player in it as well.. Don't underestimate the nuclear resources of the United States... nor the fact that history has shown we always end up being a major part in the world wars. =\
I can see it happening some day and it really wont be pretty, we will bombard other countries with nuclear weapons and they may even do it back destroying each other. I can imagine the USA playing a major part in it, maybe getting another country angry somehow and having war declared against them.
I can imagine everyone needing to have nuclear bunkers built for them within the next 100 years if the weapons are still being developed.
It almsot did! Between the USSR, China, USA and others. But thanks to Canadian Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson he singlehandlely saved the world!

Well as it stands the United States still remains the only super power left in the world. But if it's current leadership continues the US's miliatary will not have the power it has now.. Anyways,
I think this war would be far worse than any in the history of this world.. With countries like North Korea and Iran developing nuclear weapons... Nuclear warfare would be inevitable.
Thus far worse destruction of land and man then ever known.
Though I agree that the United States is one of the most technologically advanced nations in the world, it's helplessly indebted to China. If war came around, and China and the U.S. were on opposite sides, China would undoubtedly call in the debts that amount to over 13 trillion dollars. I do not doubt the occurrence of another large scale war, it's just a matter of time.
