Sexuality 21st Century
The other day when in PSHE in my year 10 GCSE class, we were discussing sexuality of teenagers and adults in this day and age. There were many people in my class who were totally against all Homosexuality, and there were people like myself and my best friend who were all for homosexuality.
My best friend Alex is gay. He's not overly open about it, and therefore is "going out" with our other best friend Candy. He moved schools recently to try and get away from the teenage persecution due to the knowledge of his sexuality.
I think it's terrible how he had to move from his old school to my school because people are giving him crap about being gay. I feel for him all the time, and whenever people give him crap. Therefore whenever people ask him a question, or ask him if he is gay, he always has to say no, because he's scared of the bullying and taughnting.
I think that these days, Homosexuality is really frowned upon. Not as much as it was in the previous centuries, but it's still bad. It think people need to accept it. And not treat them like a disease. People who have this sexuality, are no different to us.
They're the same, they are just attracted to their own gender.
(This is my own opinion, and the points voiced here are the opinions or myself and no other.)

Stay with me just a bit longer now;
Don't find the time to say your goodbyes;
And please don't leave me.

Re: Sexuality 21st Century
I agree. I am not homosexual myself, but I don't like it the way that people pressume that everyone is straight by default.

Re: Sexuality 21st Century
I disagree.
People will get bullied regardless of sexuality.
Trust me, I know this. It's just an 'excuse' to bully another.
Besides, if people wanna be homophobic then they have every right to be.
Hey, look at the bright side, at least the whole town doesn't burn or hang them like they used to if there was even a rumor that you were homosexual (unless you were a noble, in which case it was either over looked or you lost your birthright).
The ironic thing is that homosexuals have way more rights than the average person.
Yeah, you get scholarships just for being gay now - oh, such fairness.
Sexuality matters less than people want it too nowadays.
All that matters is what the person being picked on is going to do about it.
I was picked on for being a lesbian as a child, despite not being one, and that kept happening up until it actually seemed like I really was one. Then, all the insults stopped.
Then they just went and found another reason to pick on me.
The point is, if your a target then the reasons why they pick on you are just their justification for it.
Also, you can morally not agree with it but in actually not really care about it at all.
Personally speaking, I'm against it - think what you will, I don't give a fuck - but does that mean I'd judge you on that alone? Fuck no.
Sexuality means nothing to the vast majority of people.
Unless, of course it's a good thing like getting a job or scholarship just for being gay or bi.
Bigotry works in both positive and negative ways.
Also, this isn't exactly an Article so it doesn't belong in this section.
