Labour (under his control) gave the United Kingdom the lowest inflation rates, lowest unemployment, lowest interest rates in the country's history and the strongest growth on an major industrial economy and has had a record investment in the NHS.

So I feel, although he has had to contend with the Iraq War as major to his name, he has given a lot to this country.

He is an old bigoted fool. But above all, he is a downright liar who turned the campaigns into a dirty game (and was caught on numerous occasions having lied to people).

He is also an affiliate of George Bush and essentially supported Bush on most matters!?!?!?!!?!?

I'd never ever vote for mccain. Obama is probably not much better. But here will never be someone who can make everyone happy. it just won't happen

I'm sorry, but this thread has so many errors in it, it is pretty damn hard to keep up with it. Not just from the first post, where his name is totally wrong, but from several other posts in this thread.


But what I'm hearing from most people in here is that Barack Obama is not a good choice for the next president of the United States, but no explanations as to why. He's a much better choice than McCain, because McCain follows very similar policies to President Bush, which is what has plunged the United States into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Obama supports tax cuts to the middle class families, the ones who are struggling in these tough economic times to make ends meet, and pay all their bills. McCain supports tax cuts to the upper class, such as CEO's of big oil companies who are already making enough money as it is.


While he may not have as much experience as McCain, his policies are much better suited for the United States economy in the current situation we are in now.

I have trouble knowing who is better. Obama supports abortion, but McCain supports the war.

By the way, the negative rep on that post wasn't really necessary to whoever negative repped me. I was merely stating my opinion. I didn't go around negative repping everyone who supports McCain, so that was a bit uncalled for.

McCain doesn't support the war... No one supports war.
McCain just doesn't support pulling out the troops too soon - before the war is won.

McCain, he's not a Conservative nor is he a Maverick - He's a backstabbing Republican.

This, if it was not dead-obvious before, is a lesser of two evils case. That would be McCain, and on the up-side, he has Palin on his ticket (although I think she's more suited to be the President than anyone in this campaign personally speaking).


Obama want's to 'negotiate' with the terrorists - who want to kill us - what fool would do that? Talking solves nothing, History has proven this.

What makes anyone think that a terrorist who wants to kill us all will listen to just talking is beyond me.


Obama wants to tax companies which is bad for the economy because now Middle Class people have to pay more for what the companies supply.
Obama will not have lower taxes for the Middle Class - out of 94 time to vote for a tax deduction he has voted against a tax deduction. So what makes anyone think he'll actually do that?
Obama is pro-big government... That is bad because that means the government will interfere with your life.
Obama says "Universal Health Care!" or whatever bull he says - Uhhh, it ain't free. Someone has to pay for it, and you know who that is? Middle Class workers who pay taxes! Well, you can't have that kind of health care with their taxes being lower than they are now! So tax'em more!
Obama wants all these things that have to be paid for, one way or another... Who supplies the money is we the people. If Obama becomes president I would have to pay to keep some old fart alive who I don't even know, never will know because they are not gonna live that long anyway but I'm paying with my hard earned money to keep them alive anyway!
The family should do that - not me and two other people (that's the rate now, it used to be 36 I believe).


That would be Communism - and I like being a free person and having the freedom to go out and do the things I please (legal of course). But if people want that Health Care... Taxes will get too high and the Middle Class will be up-in-arms.
