Default Two brothers tortured

Quote:
Two brothers tortured and attacked two innocent boys because they were "bored" and had "nowt else to do", a British court heard on Thursday.

The attackers, aged 11 and 10, stopped battering, strangling and violating their victims with an array of weapons only because their arms were "aching".

Both told police they would have carried on if they had not been tired.

Asked later how close they had come to killing either boy on a scale of one to 10, the older brother commented: "Perhaps eight or nine."

The younger brother sobbed in Sheffield Crown Court as details of their violent and "toxic" family life were given as mitigation for the appalling crimes.
News - Europe: Bored, so they tortured two boys

Quote:

Two young brothers who lured two boys, aged nine and 11, to a South Yorkshire ravine before carrying out a brutal attack have admitted the assault. At Sheffield Crown Court the brothers, aged 10 and 12, admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
One of the victims also had a sink dropped on to his head during the attack in Edlington, near Doncaster.
The brothers were arrested on 4 April after the younger victim, covered in blood, escaped and raised the alarm.
Attempted murder charges over the attack were dropped by prosecutors.
Reports are being prepared on the boys ahead of a sentencing hearing, expected to be held in November.
The victims met their attackers as they played football in a park.

i've been seeing this on the news for days but only just found out what happened. the whole thing makes me feel sick and scared, i just can't believe that anyone would do such a thing and especially at such a young age.

its just, ive heard some pretty terrible stories before but this is one of the worst i have heard. its like jamie bulger all over again. one of the things that makes it so bad is that they didnt just torture them but they forced them to do sexual things with each other. how do children get to a point where they would do that. its bad enough imagining an adult getting to that point. and all for the sake of boredom?!

Those poor kids though... having to go though all that.
I'll be honest, I hope these two little bastards rot in a jail cell for the rest of their living days.
But we all know that wont be the case.

Those poor kids will have to live with that for the rest of their lives now.
Although really, I think those little bastards deserve to give compensation for their actions.
Enough compensation until the victims are satisfied that is.

But that won't happen... justice never ensues properly when dealing with children this young.

Also, don't you know? Haven't you heard? Violence is a favorite past-time among children and teens nowadays.
With all the violence around them today, it doesn't surprise me. If it's two things that sell, it's sex and violence.
The problem is, the more you sell it, the worse it becomes which means more of it will be sold and you get the drift.
People feed the cycle. The only choice is to stop the cycle. And that won't ever happen - not peacefully at least.

But to see young children do this anyway? Honestly speaking, we'd be doing the future a favor by killing them.
Not that I'm suggesting that's what should happen but look at it this way, they're young, even if they were sent to prison they'd get out in no time and by that time they'll be a lot stronger, a lot tougher, and a lot meaner too.
Imagine what they could do as adults? Horrible, isn't it?

But, again, that won't happen.

Poor children, subjected to such things.

Mmm.. well, they are kids. Instead of putting them in prison, I think we should help them. Putting them in center for kids with problem, where there is psycologist and other people there to help them. That would be better than killing or throwing them in jail. Because if they do that, it would actually changed nothing. And resolve problems by vangeance (because killing them would be free vangeance ) have never been a good solution.
Helping them would be.

And yeah, shit, what they did was freaking sick and pronbably because of violence and oversexualition everywhere. But really, putting a 10 and 12 years old boys in prison? Not the best idea.

They have problems, that's clear, they are freaking sick, that's clear too. But they are young. And maybe they wont changed, maybe they will grow up and be even be the same. But there is a big chance that with help, they will changed.

they had a terrible home life, like 10 times worse than baby p sort of homelife. the oldest one was smoking, drinking and on drugs at age 9. and yes i think that they need counciling and everything but its almost too far. they've gone so far past the point of counciling that its hard to know what to do with them...

Juvenile Prison. After they turn 17 or 18 then they'd go to a regular prison.

And have them risk doing this to some other kids?

They have no guilt. If they had felt guilty then I'd agree with you.
But it's obvious they don't feel bad. Therefor, prison.

Also killing them is what I'd prefer but I'm not suggesting they should be.
If I were running things, they might be unless I felt otherwise but this is why I said prison.
I don't care if they are kids, they broke the law and scared the poor kids for life. These kids will be going through treatment probably for the rest of their lives because of what these boys did.

Well, it's only my opion. I already know yours, so I don't see why you replied.

And whatever you will say, I will still have the same opinion.
My mother is working in one of those center, with kids like that. Because in Canada, we don't a Juvenile Prison. And I know she had pretty hard case like those ones, they just didn't do all the medias. And yes, kids can change.

Actually Canada does have them. Just looked it up.
Quote:
Countries such as Canada may try and sentence a juvenile as an adult, but have them serve their sentence in a juvenile facility until they reach the age of majority, at which time they would be transferred to an adult facility.
Also this happened in the UK so... and I'm pretty sure they have them.

They can, but that doesn't mean they can't also out-smart the people trying to help them.
It's happened before, where a child of a questionable background has been able to fool courts and systems into believing they are either clinically insane (to avoid prison) or to convince them they are innocent.
The point is, they hurt these kids bad. They don't deserve to be soft on. A children's center would just treat them like cupcakes. And then they'll be out in a few years.

It doesn't matter if they are kids, they knew exactly what they were doing and they wanted to kill these two. It was attempt at murder.
And if let out they'll do it again, and they might succeed this time. Besides... they have counselors in Juvenile prison. It's a win-win situation.

Also, I know your opinion won't change. The law doesn't change either. These two broke the law, therefor they must face proper punishment in accordance with the law.
