I think its stupid to name someone after a car or anything like that, I don't really understand why they do it neither! I am sorry if I offend but that's how I feel!

And I respect your opinion. My son's name will be Bentley. We're not naming him after a car. We're just naming him Bentley because we really like the name.

Isn't one of the most common names of the 90's (atleast in North America.) Zachary and Alexander. SO many people I know are called Zack, Infact it was so common I found someone with the same First and last name as me but not even close to related IN MY OWN CITY!!!

Sex jokes in other words.

That's why I feel sorry for my cousins, their last name is Bentley.

Though, the one girl I knew named Mercedes was a real bitch.

I also dislike naming after states/cities, with few exceptions. Virginia, Carolina, Georgia, Phoenix, Dallas, Cleveland, Austin, and Tex.
I don't mind Virginia, Dallas, Austin, and Tex so much though.
But let's not forget that those places were typically named after someone called that. Such as Alberta, Columbia, Victoria, (If i'm correct Dallas was named after someone called Dallas?) Unless i'm thinking of the wrong type of Dallas, Alexandria. etc.... So I wouldn't really call it annoying considering typically places and objects are named after someone.

Most cities are named after people, but typically they tend to be named after last names and not first names.

That is true to a great amount. But your not going to change your last name and ruin family heritage for the honour of a city or car are you? So I mean first names seem reasonable. Your not going to become Ray Texas or El Paso America for honour? So i'd rather something like El Paso St. Jean instead of Zachary El Paso. But you are right they are usually named for their last names.

i have no problem with idividuality, but some namess you just have to hate your child to give...

these two sisters i know are named Vincinthia and Vincianna. i thought that their mom was Cynthis and their dad was Vince, but no, just the dad was vince. and thier sons are named Vinny and Vincent. i have more problems with narcism in parents than fear of it being caused in kids....

one girl i know is named La-a. the teacher was trying to read it like lah-ah, but the girl raised her hand and siad, "It's Ladasha! The dash is NOT silent!!!"

I absolutely despise celebrities who give their children ridiculous names, such as Peaches, Sparrow, Apple, etc, but people that are named after states/cities aren't as bad, there are some very nice names, such as Paris and Georgia.

And as for naming after cars, the name Bentley isn't actually that bad I don't think, I mean there are people with the surname Bentley and nobody really relates them to the car. Mercedes seems a little weird though.

Yes, they do actually. I don't believe a Bentley is a too greatly known brand though. But, I'm not sure.
However, I have cousins with that last name.
