I read a story prompt about, once again, the vast majority of the male population dying (though, this time around it was just in America - thank God it wasn't worldwide... again).
And then it becoming a Matriarchy.

So I was thinking, how would I react if that actually happened?
I came up with this:
- Contemplate suicide very heavily.
- Get the fuck out of there while I still could.
- Get my ass over to Alaska or Hawaii (as, in the prompt, those two states are separate from the rest of America - therefore they are left unaffected).

Okay, so my question is this... if in your country, and your country alone, that all of the opposite sex died off for whatever reason (assume a strange disease)... what would you do?

After thinking about it for a minute... I probably wouldn't get out alive as they would probably want to go into total isolation to contain the disease.
So that rules out my last two options! *cries*

One this is for sure... I would most certainly be ready to die at that moment.


And another point of conversation... what's up with wanting to kill off all the men in fiction?
I mean really. In almost every feminist book like that, all men are either dead or held prisoner - no exceptions.
Also, all women believe the negative propaganda about men - even if they meet one the opposite of said propaganda.
But in all of the TWO books, I know of, that involve a male-only world/society what usually ends up happening is:
Oh, shit, wait, women DO exist! Hey, there are not as bad as I was told! *Que love interest and obvious introduction to bisexuality*
Oh, hey, look... funbags.

In the end: Women are portrayed as saints. Main guy ends up being bisexual.
In feminist fiction: Women fucking rule everything, all men are trash. Or Lesbian orgies. Or just general Lesbian romantic interest. Macho women! *gags* Or, finally, "all men are bastards, let's permanently get rid of them" *war ensues*

My point is this, there needs to be less hatin' on the men. And there needs more fiction revolving around male-only societies (no matter how small of a fan-base it has!)
I get female-only has a larger fan-base because of feminists and horny guys who only buy it to read the lesbian erotica and all that... BUT COME ON!

Is this a question or a rant about feminism?

Anyway, it would suck but I seriously doubt I'd kill myself. I'd just stick through it I suppose, and possibly move once I'm older and have the funds. But seriously, I doubt it would be anything worth contemplating suicide over.

Well, for me it is, I find women absolutely revolting. I wouldn't want to be around them without any men around for an extended period of time.

Move to Alaska then go to Osoyoos, BC and become a Canadian citizen or live in Alaska freeze your ass off and yeah you get my Idea.

Or go to Hawaii and deal with hurricanes and Volcanos etc...

In the US, there are 48 states bunched together - if those went into isolation that doesn't mean Alaska or Hawaii would. It would mean that they couldn't get into the states though. No once comes, no one goes.

I can't believe a vast amount of men would turn into rapetrucks if that were to happen.
Now, women, well i think it would end up something like the ICE OVA [en.wikipedia.org]personally. (speaking of which, I've yet to finish that)
Except without trying to revive men that is.

I think men would be in mourning... women would jump with joy... well, not all of them, some of them would go batshit insane.

True, there are obviously some cases of misogyny in the world, and vice versa as well. But there are no where near enough to feed a movement that as an idea has changed from, "equality" to "domination because men suck". Idiocy.

Now back on topic - I would probably kill myself, if all of the chicks die. I mean I'd hang around for a while, just to see if some sort of cure/vaccine could be contrived. But if not Suicide is a distinct possibility.

Can't take credit for it, I read it on a Kink Meme where someone was ranting about the stereotypes of the characters. They called one character a rapetruck.
