Default Michael Jackson's Death - Involuntary Manslaughter?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8604329.stm

Quote:
Michael Jackson's relatives have attended a court appearance by the doctor accused of giving the singer a lethal dose of powerful anaesthetic.
Dr Conrad Murray, 57, has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
Opinions? Was it right for the doctor to be taken to court over something like that?

I truly believe he died from stress and over work. Although, there is still the possibility that the doctor may have contributed to it in some way, however, there is no proof as of yet. Every day doctors accidentally kill people, so why now?

The guy is going to prison if he did it or not.
Why? Because MJ is dead and someone must pay.

That's the mentality of people and generally judges would rather condemn an innocent man rather than be slaughtered by the public and the media.

The only reason why they are accusing Dr. Conrad Murray is because it's news. The media can't let this go; they have to do something to keep it up.

I never really liked Micheal Jackson to begin with, but I mean, come on, the man has past away, can't we just leave him and everyone else alone?

I already know the answer to that question: 'No'.

He is going down because at the time he was supposed to act professional he wasn't and it ended up killing Michael Jackson. He should never of gave him that drug and he should of said no you have had too much but he was greedy and cared more for getting paid so what did he do? he gave Michael the drug and now he is dead. He deserves to go down due his stupidity. He never acted how he should of and he killed someone, it is his fault for not saying no. Michael might of hired someone else to give him the drug but at least his death would not of been on his hands.

The trial is pointless.

He didn't die because of the doctor's stupidity, he died because of his own stupidity. Jackson took the drugs on his own accord. He died from his own ignorance, plain and simple. I was given a benzodiazepine for anxiety a while back. If I took too much of what the doctor gave me I would have died. If I did that, I would have died because of my own stupidity. He's dead, it's a tragedy, etc, but you're completely ignoring the fact that Jackson took too much of the drug. Yes, the doctor did provide Jackson the medication, but he gave him the medication based on the assumption that Jackson wasn't an idiot who would take enough to cause a lethal overdose. The doctor didn't kill anybody. Jackson is dead purely as a result of him being a pharmacy moron. If Jackson had taken the medication responsibly he wouldn't have lethally overdosed. It's like blaming drug dealers for addicts. Dealers provide the drug, but the addicts take them. Nobody is shoving the drugs into their system.
