OSLO, Norway – Germany's Lena Meyer-Landrut has won the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, edging out Turkey and Romania.
Meyer-Landrut, who turned 19 during the competition in Norway, sang the upbeat, dance-floor friendly "Satellite," which was one of the favorites to win.
This is the second time that Germany has won in the songfest's 55-year history. It will host next year's contest.
This year's competition was overshadowed by the continent's financial woes, with four countries pulling out for lack of funds.
The contest is decided by a panel of judges and telephone voting by the 39 participating countries.
Haha UK came last, but To be honest i totally agree.. cheesy crap.
Lena's ok... but she's a bit wannabe lily allen, trying to put on a weird british accent.., but she's still cute
better then fairytale guy last year xD

Martha sent the Germany one earlier but this is the first I have heard of them winning. She irritated me with her accent :/ it seriously was like she was trying to do a Lily Allen but the fake cockney mixed with her own accent and kinda failed.

yeah total fail on the accent. But for some reason the rest of europe seems to like english accents, so she totally got all her points from that and they couldnt tell how wrong it was Lol

actually, i live in Germany, but even didnt knew the title of her song - in fact,
shes not about performing brutal.death.metal, punk or those stuff. ^^
mins ago, in my favorite german teen forum, i found a thread about this contest.
there i read that most peps are pissed off she won that contest, cos she cant sing
and move or something like that.
