Killing it probably, for meat... the discovered "Hey! There's something drinkable in here!"

Also I think cows will actually squirt it out naturally, kinda like how if a woman doesn't breast feed (or has someway of getting the milk out) she eventually starts leaking.

So I'm sure someone somewhere just figured out a long long long time ago that the utter was basically a cow boob.

Basically, I mean I'm no cow expert, but I did have family and friends grow up on farms and all.

The earliest record suggesting man's use of animals' milk as food was unearthed in a temple in the Euphrates Valley near Babylon. An archaeologist found a mosaic frieze believed to be about 5,000 years old. This means that milk was first used as food around 3000 BC.

Ah... maybe they figured since babies use breast milk as food then other female animals must produce milk as well and must be drinkable.

Ha, ha ha ha... I don't know. Or care. *just spouting off whatever pops into her head*

I doubt they were doing any cow-fondling though.

I was thinking about this myself the other day, it really makes you wonder if it was a rather disturbing discovery or whether they realised that the cows were producing milk for the young and used their hands to milk the cow. I think it would have been the latter though (I hope).

You never know, somebody back in the day could've had a cow fetish.
