This is a serious question. They can't afford essentials like food and clothes etc so why would they bother buying tampons/sanitary towels. What do you think they use/do?
(Me and my girlfriend somehow got onto this conversation last night and we couldn't come to a conclusion so I thought I'd ask you guys)
ah they might not to able to afford that but last time i checked, tampons were cheaper than the food and plus the last longer than food... besides, to use tampons/higyenic towels is essecial nowadays.. what would happen if you had a blood stain on your jeans??? at the very least, everyone would stare and laugh at you...
It's really not that hard to steal cloth of a line and stick it in between your legs.
Generally, you work with what you got, even if that means digging through the trash.

Once upon a time, pads did not exist. Once upon a time it was what all women did, as soon as they started, they'd grab a rag and stick it in between their legs then get back to doing the daily chores that everyone had to do.
Periods have always existed, but pads have not. lol

I've always wondered this too... & what about people in restricted places like jail? I imagine they'd get something? One subject in which I feel sorry for homeless people.

It just occurred to me, that I don't remember when I last saw a homeless woman under, say, 40. Ugly as it is to say it, I suppose women have this last resort. There will always be someone who will offer them somewhere to sleep in exchange for, well, you know what.
This whole issue is really sad to think about, but when it comes to rock bottom financial survival, women seem to be better off. Or should I say less terrible off.
What???? Like prostitutes? Do you know how much prostitutes make? A hell of a lot more then most ppl. I know for a FACT they can afford designer clothes so they def. can afford pads or tampons.
