Default "Cursing"

http://www.megavideo.com/?v=NBYOGY7H

Penn & Teller: BULLSHIT!
Episode: Humbug

So let the debate begin on whether there should be no cursing in the real world or none.

I myself believe that words are just words and as long as they are being used in definition or in a logic way (figure of speech, etc) then by all means use any word you feel like using.

I don't really believe anyone has the right to censor what a person can/cannot say. For myself I have never cursed since I do not see both the need to and how exactly it would benefit the situation in doing so.

Having said that, they are just words (though they usually show some form of contempt) but I believe its better to keep it to ourselves or within our circle of friends since arguments can ensue from misunderstandments from someone overhearing you...

I only swear when I'm talking about someone or something I dislike... or when I'm describing something and replacing the word "very" with "fucking" (eg. "It was fucking huge!").

It doesn't bother me hugely.

That's about it.

I try not to swear, but it doesnt bother me when people do really.
Accept when my people use it unnessisarly.
Or when my boyfriend shouts at me and swears like every other word.
That really grinds my gears.

I swear. I want to be able to swear. From a "minor" swear like damn to a "serious" one like cunt. I want to say them and not have some "morality leader" tell me not to say them because "it's wrong". I'd tell them to fuck off.

Some words are okay, but I hold my tongue in public because there are people around who don't want to hear it or don't want their kids to hear it. It's not censoring, it's just being respectful of those around you.
After all, it's more difficult to block hearing.

I only swear if something really aggravates me or makes me so angry that I have to have a verbal outburts of random words, including cursing. But i definatly dont use it like some people as a normal word instead of using the clean counterpart. E.g. Where is the thing/shit?

I used to swear a lot in french, and trust me,, we have a lot more bad words than in english. But I try to swear a little less, my mum hates it and my gf too.
