Wrong, because nothing is 100% certain. People have been known to actually get better, even with the odds against them.
You can dope them up on pain killers to make death more comfortable for them, but kill them when there's still a shot at them living? Even with the tiniest chance, it's still a chance so you may very well kill someone who would have lived if you would have kept of treating them accordingly.
Just because someone is in pain doesn't mean they should be able to die.
It's no different than suicide in my humble opinion.
Also it can be abused... a lot.
I'd never allow anyone I know to get a lethal injection, even if they wanted it. If they are meant to die, then they'll die with or without an injection, so in pain or not they can die naturally, not from someone killing them out of a false sense of mercy.
