Default Smoking - Your opinions ☁

First of all, Do you smoke? (When did you start and why?)
Are you against smoking public?
What's your biggest issue with it?

I don't class myself as a smoker. I have smoked before, loads of times.
I do it because I like the feeling and it makes me feel more relaxed.
I haven't smoked in ages, and I only do it when I have the chance and feel like it.

What I do, is breathe in a tiny bit of air first, then the smoke, then more air. So when I blow it out I can make sure I've got it all out of my lungs.

I started smoking at 13 or 14, I dont know why if I am honest, I think a friend gave me one and I took it and smoked it, I wasnt under pressure or anything like that, I think it was more due to me being quite rebellious back then. I dont really have any issues with it, I do plan on quitting. I dont recommend it at all and blowing all of it out doesnt mean anything, there is still residue left from it inside your mouth and lungs etc and thats what builds up over the years contributing to health issues.

I don't mind the way it's bad for me. It helps with stress.

No she doesnt and she doesnt like being in the presence or smokers, for example even if I brush my teeth before kissing her she can still smell/taste it because it lingers for a very long time, even chewing gum doesnt help much.

I think the only reason smokers find that it helps with stress is because theyve made it their way of coping or distracting themselves when under stress. For example if I never smoked and if I was angry I would probably do something different like walk back and forth perhaps.

I think smoking leads to a more stressful life too especially when addicted and you dont have any left. Everyone is better off without them, theyre not necessary to live so I dont see why people start including myself, I am an idiot for starting and I should quit and I think you yourself shouldnt touch them again before you end up addicted.

I totally agree, sometimes I just really want one.
But you know what? I'm stopping right now.
If we want a world where knowone smokes, it's best to start at home eh?
Maybe you should stay with your son 24/7.
That way you won't smoke because he's around?

I find it outright disgusting. And if you think about it, it's also pretty weird to inhale smoke deliberately. It's probably one of those things people will talk about a hundred years from now and not understand how that was publicly acceptable.

I mean, try to image a couple meeting at a cafe, they both pick up a tube of glue, and start inhaling its fumes. And they keep on talking while doing that. Very social. How different is smoking from that?

I agree that in the future we will take the piss out of the 20th centery.

People shouldn't choose what other people breathe in, which is why I'd never smoke near a non-smoker or somewhere pulic etc.

Well, I don't smoked, but I was addicted two or three years I think... I satarted smoking when I was 13. I'm not against it because I don't care about what people do with their lifes. The biggest issue when I smoked, was wishing that my class would end so that I could go out and smoke.
But, I'm over it now, and I'm glad about it

No. Never.

Are you against smoking public?

Sort of. I'd prefer if they it in a dedicated smoking area or something. Most people aren't that bothered but some don't appreciate second-hand smoke either.

What's your biggest issue with it?

Mainly the fact that some people do it to fit in with a group (usually high-school students), but what other people do is their choice and I have no reason to criticize it...only make them aware of the risks.
